Wow. 9 months later I get to sit and reflect on all the ways that God has reached down and touched my life. I sit in constant awe of the ways that He truly transformed my heart and the woman I am; I think about all the different people I got to meet- and how every time I thought I was pouring out, I was really getting poured into. The Lord was so good to me in so many different ways. I think before the Race I thought that to have these “spiritual highs” you had to be really really special, but now I know that the reality is that God isn’t a God of ups and downs, he’s constant. We are what’s moving. The God that’s with you on the best day of your life is the same as on the worst day. God wants to work and move in our hearts at all points in time. He wants us to be fully reliant on Him and put our everything in His hands. For my last blog post I wanted to write an encouragement and show some of the many things that the Lord has taught me.

Main things that the Lord taught me:

  • What it means to slow down in life and be intentional (be intentional in my time with Him & with the people around me)
  • Be fully present with where my feet are. For me this meant fully leaning into the people that God had put into my life and trusting that everyone was there to teach me something that I need.
  • Condemnation vs conviction. Walking in high conviction is such a beautiful thing that can lead you into a deeper relationship with the Father! God is a God of convictions, yet we are people of condemnation. (Read Romans 8)!!!!
  • Every opportunity is a ministry opportunity. We can often say that we want to live life with the Lord, but saying it means nothing if it’s not followed through. Go and actually live your life on fire for God!!! Everyday and every moment is an opportunity to show others and yourself just how sweet the Lord is.

Honestly I could go on and on (and on) testifying about how good the God that we serve is! It has been a joy to be able to experience God in all the new ways that I did, but I know that he isn’t done yet. All of the amazing things I got to see or be used for aren’t just for other nations or just for those 9 months. The same God lives in me back home as in Nicaragua, India, Nepal, and Eswatini. And that’s the same God that lives in you! Open up your heart and be vulnerable before the Father. Allow Him to heal you and allow Him to use you.

One response to “final blog!!!”

Hi! Welcome to my blog! This is where I will be able to share some of my experiences and what I have been up to while on my mission! I am beyond excited for what the Lord has prepared for me next year and hope you will join me on this journey. I am so excited to share why I have chosen this for next year, and to share a little about what I will be doing. As I am sure many people know I was planning on going to college somewhere around home next year, and I wanted to major in agriculture. As fun as that sounded, I never felt much of a draw to it and it just kind of seemed like the easy choice. I tried for awhile to get excited for this next step, but no matter what school I looked at, none of them felt like the perfect fit. I had not heard of The World Race at all until I started looking at different paths. I knew I wanted to commit to something that would share love and give me a direct purpose. Once I found World Race it felt perfect and I felt at so much peace with my choice to serve through this ministry. I leave for my mission in August and return home in May (9 whole months! Yay!) and I am BEYOND excited. I love to travel, as many know, and on top of that I get to spread the good news of Jesus!! I will be going to Nepal, Eswatini, and Nicaragua. In those countries we (me and other kids arounds my age) will connect with local ministry and serve wherever they need us. This could be leading bible studies, church planting, discipleship, prayer ministry, childrens ministry, and so much more.
